THE FIRST HARVEST OF THE SEASON IS A SACRED MOMENT

In Pagan traditions, Lammas is a time of celebration as it represents the first harvest; a celebration of the grain and all the fruits and vegetables that are ripe and ready to be harvested!

 Lammas :

HOW TO CELEBRATE

This holiday celebrates the grain harvest. Grain is a very important crop for most civilizations. If the grain was left in the fields for too long, or if the bread made from the grain was not baked in time, families might starve.

MAKE A HARVEST FEAST

Prepare a special meal using seasonal ingredients such as grains, fruits, and vegetables. Incorporate traditional foods like bread, corn, berries, and apples. Invite friends and family to share in the feast and give thanks for the abundance of the season.

MAKE A CORN DOLLY

Corn dollies are traditional symbols of Lammas. These woven figures are made from stalks of wheat or corn and represent the spirit of the grain. Spend some time crafting your own corn dolly using dried stalks and learn about the symbolism behind it.

OFFERINGS & GRATITUDE

Make offerings to the land, spirits, or deities you resonate with. This can involve leaving small gifts, such as fruits or flowers, in a natural setting or at an altar. Take a moment to reflect on the blessings in your life and write down what you are grateful for.

"What are you ready to start harvesting?"

"What is currently ripening in your life?"
